Buy Nothing Day 2004
Last Friday was "Buy Nothing Day" (via Insta). In the spirit, I purchased three books and declared the official start to the Xmas shopping season. And to really spite the Lefties, one book is John Lewis Gaddis' Surprise, Security and the American Experience, while another is Niall Ferguson's Colossus. The third, Without A Map, is an academic book on Russian economic reform that I bought for class.
