Civilized Versus Barbaric 

In the Gaza Strip (from the UBC IAC mailing list):
An Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades cell killed a 16-year-old Palestinian boy in Beit Hanun on Friday after a row in which his family opposed the cell's attempt to launch Qassam rockets from their yard, Israeli security sources said.
In the United States:
Amendment III

No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
That pretty much sums it up.

after abu ghraib (and Guantanamo, etc.), we cannot trust the Americans to follow their own rules...
 
I think I meant to say that after abu ghraib, no one in this war (these wars, more accurately) has the moral high ground.
