There Is Hope Just Yet 

Fiscal conservatives, it's not quite the end of the world (yet). It seems that the Bush administration is getting ready to finally start instilling some fiscal sense into their actions.

I must admit, talking about reducing new spending (not cutting existing spending) after the election to the magnitude of 0.56% of the budget isn't much to brag about. But in a presidential campaign where neither candidate is even remotely resembling a fiscal conservative, it's a start.

Reality's ability to hit like a ton of bricks strikes again.
