Iraq Flag Follow-Up
Some follow-up comments on my post on the new Iraqi flag:
OpinionJournal has an excellect editorial on the absurdity and danger of pandering to pan-Arabism, in the context of the US's apologies to various Arab countries other than Iraq.
And why do the CPA and DefendAmerica web sites still use the old Iraqi flag? I know that it's unlikely the new flag will be around for very long, but to give credit to the Baath flag over a year after the removal of Saddam and with a new flag already being proposed is pretty dumb to me. A cutout of the map, such as that on the CPA seal, would be a lot less demeaning.
