Spain Officially Chickens Out, And The UN Is Licking Its Chops
President Bush agrees to give the power to decide on the Iraqi pre-election government to the UN, and the Spanish PM accelerates the withdrawal of their troops. I guess they can't keep up the act anymore to hide their complete capitulation. I can't wait until Zapatero reneges on the other claim that he's not appeasing the terrorists.
Oh and don't think for a minute I think letting Brahimi call the shots is a good idea. Arab politicians outside Iraq are all freaked out about a real democratic free Iraq, and Brahimi is just another member of that old boys' club.
