Iran is going to "help" negotiations between Coalitions officials and al-Sadr.
Iran sent a top foreign ministry official to Iraq for talks with coalition officials, Iraqi politicians and religious figures to help mediate an end to the current wave of unrest, the official IRNA news agency said.Notice that al-Sadr or his militia is not mentioned, which would make real mediation pretty damn difficult. But isn't this more like daddy coming out on junior's behalf for the Coalition to spare junior's ass? Whoa whoa whoa, Iranian duplicity in Iraq? As Ralph Wiggum said: "That's unpossible!"
